Xponential Fitness expands to operate 1,000 sites outside of North America

Xponential Fitness expands to operate 1,000 sites outside of North America
November 5, 2021

Xponential Fitness, the California, USA-based owner of leading boutique exercise brands, has expanded its network to over 1,000 sites outside of North America following its recent US$44 million investment in Australian-founded Body Fit Training.

The deal, which saw Body Fit Training sell its intellectual property to US-based business, sees Xponential Fitness now having control of 10 brands while taking the number of studios open - or contracted to open - across the Xponential Fitness estate outside of North America to 1,000.

Body Fit Training, which offers community-based, 50-minute functional workouts currently has nearly 130 franchised studios across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

There are a further 150 studios previously sold and contractually obligated to open across the Asia Pacific region within the next 12 months.

Commenting on the growth, Xponential Fitness Chief Executive, Anthony Geisler stated "we see significant opportunities to expand BFT’s existing studio base both in the US and internationally and look forward to the brand’s continued success.

"We will leverage the Xponential playbook to provide Body Fit Training robust franchisee support and access to best practices to generate synergies across our entire portfolio."

Xponential - whose portfolio of brands now also includes Club Pilates, CycleBar, StretchLab, Row House, AKT, YogaSix, Pure Barre, STRIDE and Rumble completed an initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on in July.

Rumble - a boxing-inspired full-body workout - has also recently announced a brand expansion in Australia.

Xponential Fitness has also agreed an arrangement that will see its branded studios being set up at existing LA Fitness and City Sports Club locations across the USA.
