Giant aquatic inflatables keep crowds entertained over Australia’s summer
January 12, 2024

Across Australia, giant aquatic inflatables are keeping locals and visitors cool and entertained with obstacle courses providing exhilarating experiences for both children and adults.

Sydney: Tuff Nutterz
Tuff Nutterz has returned to Sydney’s Northern Beaches this summer with its family-friendly giant inflatable obstacle course installed in Mona Vale from 9th-14th of January.

Tuff Nutterz inflatables are carefully designed to challenge and test skills as participants navigate through a series of obstacles, including numerous climbing walls, slides, and other exciting features. Participants need to climb, slide, jump, and crawl their way to the finish line.

In addition to the 300 metre obstacle course, Tuff Nutterz also offers other fun activities and attractions, such as a giant six metre tall water slide called "Tuff Slide" and a Mini obstacle course.

With Tuff Nutterz, there's no need to worry about age restrictions because the event welcomes all ages to participate and enjoy the fun. Parents with children under five years old are offered a complimentary accompanying parent ticket.

Adelaide: The Big Wedgie
Family-friendly waterpark, The Big Wedgie has returned to Adelaide’s West Beach Parks and will run through to 1st April.

The Big Wedgie Inflatable Waterpark offers four inflatable waterslides set to bring the fun and excitement for the whole family.

The park’s star attraction, The Big Wedgie, is a record-holding waterslide, standing an impressive 18.2 metres high and stretching 82 metres long.

Open to children seven years and older; the waterslide features three lanes at an exhilarating 55-degree slope, where participants can race against friends as they slide to the bottom.

For thrill-seekers over 10 years old, The Big Chucka is the daredevil’s dream, with an almost vertical 80-degree drop, catapulting sliders up to nine metres in the air before landing safely on an inflatable pad.

For those who prefer a calmer waterslide experience, the Just Right Wedgie is ideal for children aged five and above and offers the right mix of thrill and safety, making it a hit among younger adventurers.

The Little Wedgie is also on offer and has been designed especially for toddlers aged three to five years old, providing a gentle, fun-filled experience, perfect for their first sliding adventure.

Perth: Aqua Park
In Western Australia, Perth Aqua Park’s huge floating inflatable fun park connects over 100 different obstacles including big slides, monkey bars, inflatable balls, a jumping pillow, a floating trampoline and much more.

Perth Aqua Park offers the opportunity to race down the three-lane course; launch down the slides or be challenged on the climbing walls. It’s fun for everyone; children or adults, sporting teams looking for fun and fitness, corporate groups seeking a team building activity or anyone looking for some fun as an individual or with a group.

Perth Aqua Park is conveniently located at Perth Wake Park in Baldivis and caters for up to 125 participants per session. Sessions are 50 minutes long and are patrolled by a team of lifeguards.

The minimum age is six year and anyone six to nine years needs to be accompanied on the water by a paying adult. Maximum one adult per four children. All participants must be able to swim.

Darwin: Aqua Park
Aqua Park is challenging the crowds at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct with Australia’s biggest-ever Wibit Sports Park.

Exciting pieces include The Rock – which has three integrated slides and five jumping platforms of various heights, The Swing – the world’s first and only modular inflatable swing on the water and The Tramp – engineered for bouncing, providing for an ideal jumping contest with friends to see who can make the highest, longest or coolest move.

Also included is the Wibit Kids Circuit park which is separate from the main installation, providing opportunity for four to nine year olds to have their own safe fun with parents and carers able to swim and supervise alongside.

To encourage repeat visitation, this week the aquatic attraction is being re-configured with all the same obstacles but appearing in a different spot

The Darwin Waterfront Aqua Park is owned and operated by Aqua Park Pty Ltd.
