read moreVillage Roadshow Theme Parks has advised that, after a two-year hiatus due to COVID restrictions, its Halloween inspired Fright Nights will return to Warner Bros. Movie World on selected nights this October.
The after-dark event will see Movie World transformed with fiver horror-theme mazes including two new IPs, five gruesome precincts and a later finishing time.
Announcing the return of the special events, Village Roadshow Theme Parks Chief Operating Officer, Bikash Randhawa stated “Fright Nights is the Gold Coast’s best Halloween Event and after a two-year hiatus our team are so excited to bring this event to life this October.
“At Fright Nights guests will need to be ready for the most heart racing night of their life as chaos and fear descends onto Warner Bros. Movie World.
“This year guests can experience five horror mazes, five new terrifying precincts and relentless scares, plus Movie World’s favourite rides after dark.
“While we can’t give away all the details regarding the IP of the mazes just yet, we have released a teaser trailer to encourage Fright Nights fans to try and guess the theming.”
Advising that Fright Nights will operate for longer hours than in past years, Randhawa added “there will be an unprecedented number of characters that will be engaging with guests ... and for the first time we are extending the mazes so they will be open until 11pm unlike the traditional 9:45pm closing time.”
Promoting Fright Nights, Randhawa and members of the Village Roadshow Theme Parks executive team, have been made up as gruesome creatures.
With its horror-related themes, Fright Nights are not recommended for children under the age of 14 years.
