read moreTicketek has announced that it will offer the Google Pay Payments API to customers on its app and website - claiming to be the first event ticketing company in Australia to introduce the payment service.
Introduced from yesterday (20th December), the digital wallet integration is being highlighted as a way to streamline and speed up the payments process, which can often be a deterrent for consumers looking to get tickets to big events that can sell out fast.
Providing fans with a fast, simple and secure way to pay for tickets, consumers can safely store both credit and debit cards in their Google Pay digital wallet and quickly access their account to confirm their payment in just a few clicks.
The integration of Google Pay within Ticketek’s purchase pipeline provides further flexibility and convenience for customers in streamlining their purchase experience.
Ticketek Australia Managing Director, Cameron Hoy said the integration with Google Pay is designed to remove friction and make it easier to buy tickets.
Hoy stated “Ticketek is continuously looking for ways to provide our customers with a great experience when purchasing tickets and our integration with Google Pay offers a simpler, faster payment solution in our app and website.
“The payment information is protected with multiple layers of security so customers can be assured this experience comes with peace of mind.”
Prasenjit Phukan, Product Manager, Google Pay added “we want to make it easier for businesses like Ticketek to offer a simpler, faster payment solution for their customers. With Google Pay, customers will be able to speed through checkout with just a few clicks.”
The Google Pay app can be downloaded from the Play Store.
