Sports Environment Alliance to hold 2020 Summit in virtual format

Sports Environment Alliance to hold 2020 Summit in virtual format
October 26, 2020

The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) has announced that it will be holding its fourth annual #SEASummit in 2020 in a virtual format next month.

With the theme Future Proofing The Places Where We Play, the #SEASummit 2020 will aim to raise awareness of how the sporting industry can limit its impact on the environment and how the changes in the environment are affecting the places and spaces where people play.

To be held on successive Thursdays through November, each of the four summit modules will cover the future proofing of sport and learnings to help adapt to change.

Speakers will include Rachel Parnaby, Project Manager, West Coast Eagles Football Club; James Parkinson, Director Auckland Stadiums at Regional Facilities Auckland and James Reid, Executive General Manager at the Victoria Racing Club.

Our speakers and hosts will not only focus on sport within Australasia, but also on the international sporting industry, with a heavy emphasis on how a collective and collaborative approach can lead to change.

Sessions and timings are

Session 1: What does it take to Future Proof Sport, 5th November, 5:00pm - 6:00pm AEDT
Session 2: How to be a planet champion: workshop, 12th November, 10:30am - 12:00pm AEDT
Session 3: How do we play for our planet?, 19th November, 5:00pm - 6:00pm AEDT
Session 4: How to be sport & planet resilient: workshop, 26th November, 10:30am - 12:00pm AEDT
