Blacktown International Sportspark set to host WBBL fixtures

Blacktown International Sportspark set to host WBBL fixtures
November 6, 2020

The Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney is ready to host some of the world's best female cricketers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) over the next two weeks.

With the WBBL’s sixth season, will feature four double-header rounds at the Sportspark, two of which will be open to the public.

Blacktown City Mayor, Tony Bleasdale commented “Council is proud to be one of the hosting venues for Women’s Cricket, and I look forward to welcoming the WBBL to our great city.

“It is wonderful to see this terrific sport getting the attention it truly deserves.

“The WBBL always brings great action to the Sportspark and we invite the community to get behind these amazing athletes.

“As with all sporting events we ask that the community remain vigilant with hand-sanitising and social distancing, and we ask that people not attend these events if they develop any flu-like symptoms.”

The two double headers open to the public are:

• Wednesday, 4th November
- Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Thunder (2.30pm)
- Brisbane Heat vs Sydney Sixers (7.05pm)

• Wednesday, 11th November
- Perth Scorchers vs. Sydney Sixers (2.30pm)
- Brisbane Heat vs. Sydney Thunder (7.05pm)

Gates will open at 2pm for all double headers.
