Sports Environment Alliance announces program for 2023 Summit

Sports Environment Alliance announces program for 2023 Summit
April 4, 2023

Set to return to the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 4th May, the Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) has announced the program for its upcoming 2023 Summit.

With the theme ‘Move your sports organisation's climate strategy off the bench and into action,’ the event will feature a curated program of national and international speakers, covering topics such as stakeholder engagement, circular economy, and emissions reduction and offsetting.

Delegates at the SEA Summit will have the opportunity to collaborate and learn from industry leaders, working together to tackle topical areas and challenges and develop tangible action items that set them up for success.

Introducing the Summit, SEA Chief Executive, Jan Fitzgerald commented “we're thrilled to reveal the program for our annual SEA Summit, and we're looking forward to welcoming industry leaders and stakeholders to Melbourne for this important event.

"Our summit provides an important opportunity to connect, collaborate, and take action on climate change, and we encourage everyone with an interest in sustainable sports to secure their tickets today."

Every year, the SEA Summit provides a place for the SEA network and the greater sports and sustainability community to engage on issues that matter: blue skies, clean water, green grass and a future where we protect our places to play.

The Summit is attended by professional sporting associations, state a community sporting associations, facility/venue managers and operators, sustainable and regeneration service providers and technical and other professional service suppliers

SEA has also welcomed the Vasse Soccer Club from Busselton in Western Australia as its newest member, joining a growing number of sports clubs taking proactive steps towards addressing climate change.
