read moreQatar will get its first indoor trampoline park - the largest in the Arabian Gulf - when Bounce Doha opens its doors in the middle of September.
Located in a 4,000 metre² facility, Bounce Doha is the biggest branch of Australian-based Bounce Inc. in the Middle East and its second biggest in the world, next to the one in Bangkok, Thailand.
Nicholas Castanheira, Marketing Manager at Bounce, told The Peninsula “the Middle East was the second region where Bounce was set up after Australia.
“We have Dubai, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, but Qatar (will be) the biggest in the Middle East.
“We wanted to do something unique for Doha because it’s the biggest one in the region and we know people are excited that we are arriving that’s why we have three different models that have not been in any Bounce venue before.
“These (include) cage football, cliff diving and the free run area.”
Cage football provides football enthusiasts the chance to play football while jumping and bouncing, taking the sport into new heights making it more spectacular, while cliff diving is for the adventurous who want to try something different.
Castanheira added “one of the most exciting features of Bounce Doha is the X-Park, which is our version of Ninja Warrior. It is an adventure challenge course that contains 18 different stages that one has to complete in the fastest way possible.”
X-park is an endurance activity combining challenging, dynamic and interactive wedge runs, rollers, slackline, zip lines, monkey bars, sea of pipes, spider wall and trampolines.
Another exciting part of the ‘urban playground’ will be the wall running, in which participants can jump on the trampoline and then run on the wall.
Bounce offers Fitslight Academy program - an eight-week comprehensive program that teaches children wall running and the basics of trampolining.
The new venue also features a Dodgeball Arena, where Bounce’s oldest and more competitive sport is played by 16 players and witnesses queues of people in various venues.
In previewing the attraction’s safety credentials, Castenheira emphasises Bounce’s safety credentials, concluding “safety is one of our main concerns.
“We work with Australian Trampoline Park Association (ATPA) which basically creates the guidelines to ensure that everything is safe, from the trampolines that we design to the trainings we provide.”
All sports padding in the facility was provided by Melbourne-based Rae-Line, experts in the provision of high quality sports padding, gym mats, foam mats and protective padding, suitable for a range of different facilities.
Designed in 3D and manufactured by the company at their Kilsyth base, the padding was shipped to Qatar for installation.
