Healthy Ageing Summit 2024 to address strengthening leadership in fast growing market

Healthy Ageing Summit 2024 to address strengthening leadership in fast growing market
December 5, 2023

Perform Better Australia, in collaboration with The Healthy Ageing Institute, has announced that the Healthy Ageing Summit will return as an in-person, face-to-face event in 2024.

Moving on from hosting successful virtual events during years impacted by the pandemic, next year's Summit will be held on 31st May at the Brisbane Technology Park, 8 Mile Plains.

Previous Summits attracted hundreds of participants, and the organisers anticipate the 2024 event to be even more significant with the collaboration between Perform Better and The Healthy Ageing Institute, merging the practicality of fitness solutions with the wisdom of ageing experts.

The result will see the delivery of a comprehensive program and educational resources aimed at promoting healthy ageing and enhancing the quality of life for individuals in the ageing demographic.

Ken and Karen Baldwin, Directors of Perform Better and The Healthy Ageing Institute, express their enthusiasm for the summit's return.

They advise "we have been inundated with previous Summit participants asking us to hold another Summit to build on their knowledge and skills in the area of Active Ageing.

“The feedback has been so positive on their learning experiences, with the one underlying piece of feedback saying we really want the Face to Face experience.”

The theme for this year's summit is ‘Providing Solutions for a Healthier Living Environment’, with most sessions offering practical components that can be immediately integrated into attendees' training methodologies for optimal client results.

The Summit will cover a broad spectrum of topics, including the impact of wearable technology on the ageing demographic, the importance of exercise for cancer patients, health coaching solutions beyond the physical, gait training, the power of recovery, fundamental movement for the ageing, foot care, active living for disabled clients, and the science and art of longevity.

In addition, AUSactive has endorsed and is promoting the Summit, recognising the industry's need to better serve the ageing demographic.

The Summit opens with an address from Myzone Chief Executive Emmett Williams and concludes with a closing address from AUSactive Chief Executive Barrie Elvish, promising to showcase relevant issues and events within the fitness industry for the ageing demographic.

The only event in the Southern Hemisphere specifically focusing on the active ageing demographic, the Summit currently boasts several major sponsors, with opportunities still available for businesses looking to have their name prominently featured among delegates.

In addition to sponsorship opportunities, this year's summit introduces foyer floor space for exhibitors to showcase their products and services. Exhibitors will also have the chance to include product placements in delegate packs.
