read moreThe organisers of FILEX have announced a new format for the event that will see the southern hemisphere’s largest fitness convention transform into three separate education events, each tailored to meet specific market segments - trainers and instructors, fitness business owners, and for the first time, an exclusive event designed for the chief executives of Australasia’s major fitness industry businesses.
The re-imagining of FILEX’s annual event calendar, in conjunction with Fitness Australia, follows extensive consultation with fitness businesses, industry suppliers, trainers, instructors and key stakeholders
According to FILEX Chairperson Andrew Simmons, the new format for Australia’s leading fitness education convention will directly meet the needs of all parties as the nation gradually emerges from COVID-19 and the closure of The Fitness Show.
Simmons advises “the changes in the fitness landscape have given the Filex board the opportunity to take stock and re-think its offering to address the challenges that the pandemic has presented.
“The new decentralised education convention will include multiple annual events in a range of locations, thereby reducing registration and travel costs for delegates.
“We will also continue to provide high quality virtual events throughout the year to ensure that exercise professionals have cost-effective access to continuing education and CECs”.
“The business summit format has been refreshed to enhance connections between delegates and with Fitness Australia, and to provide tailored networking opportunities for trade show exhibitors with fitness businesses. We will also continue to build on the enormous success of the Australian Fitness Awards with the annual gala dinner.”
In what they believe is a first in Australia, the Filex board has also announced a new event tailored specifically for fitness industry chief executives that aims to bring industry leaders together to drive the agenda for the fitness industry in the post-Coronavirus world.
Simmons adds “we are particularly excited about the new Fitness Industry CEO Summit that will bring together the most senior Australasian operatives in an exclusive environment.
“All this will of course feature the world class speakers and educators that Filex has become internationally renowned for.”
The dates and event programs are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
