Promising an "unrivalled spectator experience", the 42,500 fans in the new venue will benefit from clear sight-lines to the pitch, video screens and other spectator seating zones to enhance the event-day experience.
In addition, improved accessibility will provide more opportunities for a diverse range of people of different ages, backgrounds, gender and mobility to enjoy games.
It is also claimed that "supporters will receive 100% rain cover in all seats" in the $900 million venue.
Hospitality giant, Merivale, has come on board as the inaugural food and beverage partner at Allianz Stadium, offering new game day food and beverage options.
The Wallabies will meet the World Champion Springboks two weeks in a row as part of the 2022 eToro Rugby Championship, with the sides clashing at the Adelaide Oval seven days earlier.
Rugby Australia Chief Executive, Andy Marinos commented “we are extremely excited to be able to host the first ever international event at the new Allianz Stadium.
“To have the Wallabies taking on the World Champion Springboks in front of over 40,000 supporters is going to be an amazing experience, and one I’m sure those in attendance will never forget.
“I would like to thank the NSW Government for their support in hosting the Test and congratulate them on what is a truly world class stadium built here in Sydney.”
Following the rugby union test, Football's Matildas will meet Tokyo 2020 Olympic Champions at the venue on Tuesday 6th September.
The anticipated first fixture at the new venue will be an NRL clash between the Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs on Friday 2nd September.
