Rebranded Raging Waters Sydney waterpark reveals new waterslide
Set to introduce its new Raging Waters Sydney branding for the 2019/20 season, the former Wet'n'Wild Sydney has revealed new features that it will offer when it reopens in September, including the 206-metre waterslide Whirlwind.
Parques Reunidos who purchased the Park in 2018, are making the largest investment into the waterpark since it originally opened in 2013, with the Whirlwind the major feature.
The ride will see guests plunge through a darkened enclosed tunnel that quickly opens up into an open downward curve. Guests will travel high around the spiral as the curve drops them 2.5-metres at speeds of up to 25 kph and then head back into the dark before emerging into the second open spiral.
Manufactured and supplied by WhiteWater, Whirlwind will open in November 2019 as an addition to the action on Tower 1 that also features the popular H2Go Racers and 360 Rush.
Commenting on the investment, Parques Reunidos Chief Executive, Jose Diaz stated "we are committed to investing in the future of the park through new attractions, infrastructure and services.”
For the new season other additions and changes will include new food outlets; revamped retail locations, including a new gift shop; new Season Pass payment plans; a refreshed group event area; new family VIP cabanas and the addition of more shade throughout the waterpark.
Raging Waters Sydney General Manager, Tony Brancazio added "I hope our guests are as excited as I am about Raging Waters Sydney
“We have listened to our guests and have made some key changes that will improve their experience in the Park.
“We are looking forward to a great season.”
Parques Reunidos, is one of the world's leading attractions operators, owning and managing over 60 attractions in 15 countries including theme parks, waterparks, animal parks and family entertainment centres.
