For the first time ever, the latest issue of the printed Australasian Leisure Management magazine can be read online - just a week or so after its publication.

Mindful that some subscribers and regular readers may not be able to access the copy mailed to their place of work, Australasian Leisure Management issue 138, along with issues 136 and 137, can now be viewed through popular electronic magazine software Issuu.

Australasian Leisure Management magazine contains a wide range of unique content the complements this website. However, while this website is news based, the printed magazine is distinct in containing longer, more analytical features and case studies designed to provide in-depth information on all aspects of the leisure industry.

Explaining the initiative, Australasian Leisure Management Publisher, Nigel Benton advises "this move to electronic publication of the printed magazine is in addition to, and not a replacement for, the printed magazine.

"Our insights and ongoing feedback from readers is that while online is the appropriate media for news - after all, who doesn't get their news online these days - for more detailed engagement, print is the media of reference.

"Indeed we would hope that when professionals make a purchasing decision - whether on a $10,000 treadmill, installing management software or on a multi-million dollar stadium - it is based on more than an online news item and a '#awesome' comment on social media."

With online readership of this website having grown more than fourfold in the past year to record more than five million impressions each month, Benton added "viewing the printed magazine online may also see new readers want to receive it."
