read moreThe Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honours List has recognised 1,190 Australians with ballet star David McAllister among five people to receive the highest honour, being appointed as a Companion of the Order of Australia.
Among other awards, Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth; Harvey Lister, Chairman and Chief Executive of ASM Global (Asia Pacific); and John Kotzas, Chief Executive of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre were named as Members of the Order of Australia (AM) while NRL hall-of-famer Glenn Lazarus; former Socceroo Robbie Slater and South Australian sports star Erin Phillips have received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).

Melbourne-based Charles Justin was honoured for his ‘significant service to the museums sector, to arts administration, and to architecture’.
A celebrated architect and force behind the firms SJB, Plus Architecture, Management for Design and a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and Jewish Museum, Justin established the Justin Art House Museum (JAHM), a privately funded, not for profit house museum in 2016.
Dr Lissant Mary Bolton was honoured for her ‘significant service to the museums sector, and to anthropology’,
Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM)
Squash and Racquetball Victoria’s Paul Vear in recognition of his commitment to both squash and racquetball over 50 years.
Vear has been previously recognised by the sport with his Squash and Racquetball Victoria Legend and Hall of Fame status, plus recognised as 2005 Administrator of the Year by Squash Australia.
Former Sutherland Sharks President and Sutherland Shire Councillor George Hurley for his services to football and the community.
