The Australian Exporter of the Year and Australia's top exporters were awarded at the 61st Australian Export Awards ceremony held at Parliament House, Canberra on 30th November 2023 – delivered by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission.
Humanitix and MyVenue were among the winners with Humanitix securing the top award for the ‘Creative Industries’ category and MyVenue awarded the top ‘Small Business’.

MyVenue
MyVenue delivers fast, reliable and rapidly scalable point-of-sale (POS) solutions for sports, entertainment and hospitality venues. MyVenue’s cloud-based, customisable, fully integrated POS solution was developed in Adelaide and helps venues reduce operating inefficiencies and maximise sales revenue.
On securing the award for ‘Small Business’ MyVenue Chief Executive Tim Stollznow shared “our world-class POS solution's impact on the global sports and entertainment venue sector was recognised last night, with MyVenue winning a national category at the Australian Export Awards.
“In just over 18 months, 75+ stadiums, arenas, and other major hospitality venues have deployed MyVenue’s point of sale solution in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.
“We’re constantly developing new, innovative technologies that redefine what next-gen POS solutions are capable of. The future is very bright for MyVenue.”
MyVenue is trusted by more than 70 stadiums, arenas, convention centres, zoos, hotels and cafes across the globe. Key export markets include the US, Canada, the UK, and Southeast Asia.
MyVenue was the Emerging Exporter award winner at the 60th Australian Export Awards in 2022 and is the 2023 Small Business award winner. Since then, MyVenue’s global customer base has grown 304%. Its exports have increased by 433%.
MyVenue has invested greatly in its environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) strategies in the past year. Most prominently, it has developed POS software that can be deployed onto existing POS terminals installed onsite. This system has helped prevent thousands of POS terminals from needlessly ending up in landfill.
Relationship marketing has formed another vital piece of MyVenue‘s export strategy over the past 12 months with Stollznow noting “We go out of our way to meet with key customers face-to-face at their venues, even when it’s on the other side of the world,.
‘We have discovered that several competitors, which are headquartered in our export markets, rely on Zoom and Teams a little bit too much. So when we visit, our customers understand and appreciate the effort we invest into the partnership. This important customer service helps keep us front of mind.”

This marks the second consecutive year MyVenue has won a national category at the Awards, after claiming the Emerging Exporter of the Year in 2022. Accepting the award were Tim Stollznow, David laleggio (CTO), Scott Babolka (Marketing Manager), and Michelle Stollznow (Finance Manager).
Stollznow says that winning the Emerging Exporter Award at the Australian Export Awards in 2022 helped MyVenue establish relationships with Austrade and other important industry stakeholders in key export markets.
‘This opened exciting business opportunities for MyVenue in the UK and US,’ he says.
Further recognition in this year’s Awards as a 2023 winner is very welcome with Stollznow adding “these awards elevate the profile of MyVenue locally and internationally to prospective customers.
“They also encourage and inspire further growth and innovation.
Stollznow notes the company’s stronger relationship with Austrade has helped it establish a market in Southeast Asia.
“We didn’t actively pursue this region, but we are slowly finding traction thanks to market fit and technical expertise that competitors can’t offer.
“We’re grateful for the introductions facilitated by Austrade. Its insights into local market behaviours are strategically important to our export success.”
