Announced on Monday, the three-year deal has been reached between the FIA, Automobile General Association Macao-China (AAMC) and the Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee.
As a result, the first FIA competitions to be staged in the administrative region will be for Formula 3 and GT cars - taking place from 16th to 19th November.
This year, in honour of the 70th anniversary of the Macau Grand Prix, the event will be held across two consecutive weekends, with the second featuring FIA World Cups. The F3 World Cup winner will be classed as the overall Macau GP winner.
Between 2020 and 2022, FIA competitions did not feature on the schedule of the Macau GP due to the pandemic situation, with domestic events held in their place.
Formula 3 launched in 2019 as a support series for Formula 1, with the Macau GP featuring as a non-championship round during the inaugural season.
FIA single-seater Director Nikolas Tombazis advised “we are all very pleased to see the return of the FIA Formula 3 World Cup in Macau - the history of Macau and Formula 3 is one of the most renowned stories in motorsport and the event has long been the highlight of the junior single-seater calendar.
“Thanks to the hard work and collaboration between the FIA, AAMC, the Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee and the FIA Formula 3 Championship Promoter, FIA Formula 3 World Cup has a bright future.”
