read moreThe NSW-based Aquatic and Recreation Institute (ARI) has announced leisure management software solutions provider Jonas Leisure as the principal partner for its newly launched Mentor Program.
Developed by ARI, the program aims to deliver tangible benefits to the sector, through retention of talent, improved knowledge transfer and greater collaboration across the industry. The program will run over six months, and will initially target 20 individuals to participate in the program. The individuals will be grouped into five teams, each with an industry mentor, and will work together to provide a solution to a challenge set by the industry.
Commenting on the company’s support, Jonas Leisure General Manager Mike Henton commented “we at Jonas Leisure believe mentoring plays an important role in the growth and development of our employees.
“We're excited to see the ARI providing the same opportunity for growth that we are so passionate about to emerging leaders within the broader aquatics and recreation industry.”
The Mentoring Program allows candidates with leadership ambitions within their organisations to step outside their regular roles, challenge themselves and build a network of like-minded colleagues, collaborate on a task and realise their potential with the guidance of an industry mentor with a vast range of experience.
ARI President Colin Kane added “we see enormous potential in the Mentor Program and are excited to have Jonas Leisure on board to support us in our goal to strengthen the aquatic and recreation sectors.
“This program is really about helping individuals to grow personally and professionally and encourage innovative thinking from the next generation of leaders.
“These are qualities that Jonas Leisure clearly value and so it makes a lot of sense that we partner with them to bring this initiative to the industry.”
Key program dates:
• ARI is currently seeking applications for Industry Mentors. Applications close Friday 27th October 2017.
• The ARI Mentor Program Challenge launch will be held November 2017. Dates and locations to be confirmed.
