Through its Fundraising business, Cadbury will become a major partner of Suncorp Super Netball, with affiliations with the Melbourne Vixens, Queensland Firebirds, Collingwood Magpies and Sunshine Coast Lightning. It will also be an associate partner of Netball Australia and the Samsung Diamonds, with links to Netball Victoria, Netball South Australia, Netball Tasmania, Netball Northern Territory and Netball Queensland.
Netball Australia Chief Executive Marne Fechner announced “we are delighted to partner with an iconic brand which demonstrates a true commitment to supporting local communities and recognises the role of volunteers.
“The partnership is integrated, from national level through to grassroots community netball, and will help develop an ongoing revenue stream for clubs generated through fundraising.”
The relationship between netball and Cadbury Fundraising will provide opportunities for local netball clubs and associations to increase revenue.
Fechner added “we know that cost can present a barrier to participation, particularly in lower income communities, and we are confident that that our new partnership will help further breakdown these barriers, by offering a solution to subsidise fees and equipment costs.”
Cadbury’s Associate Director of Marketing Paul Chatfield said Cadbury Fundraising has been at the heart of generous communities and their fundraising efforts for the last 27 years.
Chatfield stated “we are proud to be joining forces with Netball Australia, to further support the growth of this exciting sport, and help more clubs achieve their fundraising goals.”
