read moreThe Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) has announced that it will stage a virtual conference from Monday 27th to Friday 31st July.
Originally scheduled to be held as live event at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, running alongside the SPLASH! convention, the conference will now be held online, with each of its five days having a different theme.
The themes are: Day 1 - Leadership; Day 2 - Product; Day 3 - People; Day 4 - Promotion and Day 5 - Performance, with three sessions within each theme many of which deals with reopening after the COVID-19 shutdown and operating on a post Coronavirus world.
Introducing the conference, ASSA advises in a statement "as our collective businesses around the world consider how we can return from the last four-months, it is critical for our business leaders to find resolve, resilience, reimagination, and reform to become future proof.
"In order to come back stronger, companies will reimagine their business model as they return to full speed. The moment is not to be lost on those who step up their game, they will be better off and far more ready to confront the challenges and opportunities of the next normal, than those who do not."
ASSA has also announced that Carlile Swimming's Manager of Operations, Michael Yeomans, has been named as the recipient of its inaugural Young Guns Award.
