read moreThe 2nd International Swim Schools Spectacular (ISSS) held in Singapore from 13th to 17th January 2020, brought together swim schools from around the world, to share and enhance best teaching practices on Swimming and Water Safety as well as the development of high quality, sustainable operations.
Held at Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay and organised by the Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA), the week-long 2nd ISSS covered a wide range of talks including the SwimSchoolers TEACH Seminar, World Infant Aquatics Conference, International Business of Swim Schools Conference, Swim Schools Industry Business Summit and ended with a Tour of Swim Schools in Singapore.
ASSA General Manager, Emily McNeill advised “the feedback from the Spectacular was overwhelming, many saying it was the best Swim School Event that they had ever attended. We had 310 delegates and presenters from 23 countries who joined us in Singapore. Lots of familiar faces (and many new ones which we love to see). The presenters were certainly world class and having the opportunity to Network with SwimSchoolers from around the world is always most valuable. It certainly was a spectacular week.”
Several networking-social functions including welcome drinks at the world’s highest alfresco bar, river cruise around the city and closing drinks at the top of the Famous Marina Bay Sands, allowed delegates to take advantage of the amazing destination that is Singapore.
ASSA's next scheduled event is the Australian Swim Schools Conference on the Gold Coast (at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre). Running in conjunction with the SPLASH! Pool and Spa Expo from Monday 27th to Friday 31st July the event will also encompass the World Everyday Safer Inclusive Swim Schools Conference
