Australian Swim Schools Association leads aquatics industry through SPLASH! Week

Australian Swim Schools Association leads aquatics industry through SPLASH! Week
August 4, 2018

A remarkable week showcasing Australia’s aquatic industry has wrapped up on the Gold Coast with more than a thousand attendees and delegates attending the biannual SPLASH! Pool and Spa Trade Show and related events through SPLASH! Week.

While the SPLASH! Expo is largely aimed at the dometic pool market, many of its 150 exhibitors used the event to also display products for the commercial market.

Beyond this, SPLASH! Week’s education and industry development events drew together commercial pool managers including the, appropriately named, 2018 International Swim Schools Spectacular (ISSS).

Bringing together the Australian Swim Schools Conference, the World Infant Aquatic Conference and the Australian Swim Schools Awards Gala, ISSS was delivered in partnership with the International Swim Schools Spectacular.

Attracting 450 attendees, representation from 18 countries (including over 90 overseas delegates and an unprecedented 22 international presenters), delegates heard from leading national and international experts and speakers from both within the learn-to-swim and water safety industry, as well as from a wide range of external industries and businesses.

Other highlights included:

• Pre-events in Sydney for overseas visitors,
• The Australian Swim Schools Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and
• Brisbane Swim Schools Tour, post-event.

SPLASH! Week also included SPASA Australia educational seminars, including the 2018 Women in Leadership Seminar, and the Australian Leisure Facilities Association Queensland Learning Session.

The 2019 Australian Swim Schools Conference will be held in Cairn from 29th to 31st July.

The SPLASH! Pool and Spa Trade Show will return in 2020.
