An epic new endurance running event - the GPT 100 Miler - is being held at Victoria’s Grampians Peaks Trail from 22nd to 26th November 2023.

The event is supported through Visit Victoria and was a successful funding recipient from the Victorian Government’s $20 million Regional Events Fund.

Event organisers will use their funding from the Regional Events Fund to help raise the international profile of the event and build the reputation of the Grampians Peaks Trail and benefits of the wider region.

The event has already attracted the most competitive field ever assembled in Australia for the over 100-mile distance event. Competitors in the inaugural event will have the opportunity to race the 158 kilometre trail continuously or over a four-day stage race format with the option for a team relay in both formats.

The race starts at Mt Zero in the North and finishes in Dunkeld in the South, with a 50km option for those keen to experience the beauty of the Grampians Peaks Trail in a shorter format.

Along the journey through remote wilderness, runners will pass 12 campsites each with stunning huts built in the most secluded areas along the route.

Halls Gap will act as event basecamp and headquarters for five days with flow on benefits to local businesses and accommodation providers.
