read moreQuayclean Australia is ready for one of the busiest weekends in its history when it manages cleaning and presentation services for seven AFL premiership fixtures played at Marvel Stadium, Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium, Adelaide Oval, the SCG and the Gabba.
While Quayclean’s staff at Marvel Stadium are preparing for a triple header of AFL matches, its team at Adelaide Oval have an AFL-NRL double header with the NRL blockbuster between Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm played tomorrow night before Port Adelaide takes on Western Bulldogs on Saturday night.
In addition to the Roosters-Storm match, Quayclean will be presenting the Gold Coast Titans NRL match with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at the Gold Coast’s Cbus Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Marvel Stadium triple header commences tonight when Essendon takes on GWS Giants, before Collingwood faces North Melbourne on Saturday night, followed by Port Adelaide opposing the Western Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.
On Friday night, Quayclean’ focus will centre on GMHBA Stadium in Geelong when the Cats lock horns with the Adelaide Crows, while across in Adelaide the Roosters tackle Storm in what many predict as the possible early season NRL Grand Final showdown.
On Saturday, the Sydney Swans welcome Gold Coast Suns to the SCG, before the Brisbane Lions meets Melbourne at the Gabba on Sunday.
Advising that the company is excited that an estimated 300,000 fans will pass through the turnstiles at these venues this weekend, Quayclean Chief Executive, Mark Piwkowski stated “we have been working and planning for this weekend’s football fixture bonanza for several months and our staff are ready to show why they are the best. It is our aim that fans’ match-day experience will be memorable from the time they arrive until the final hooter sounds.
“Across all these venues, around 950 cleaning staff will work a total of 1800 shifts involving over 6,200 labour hours to ensure the venues are presented in a first-class manner. Footy fans will produce 120 tonnes of waste which will be gathered, separated and collected after each game before being sent off site where the majority of the waste will be recycled.
“Through our waste separating and recycling techniques, our venue partners will continue to make substantial savings with an average recycling rates exceeding 75%.”
In addition to these footy matches, Quayclean will manage cleaning and presentation to a range of other high-traffic non-football venues including the Sydney Opera House, Fox Studios, Sydney Olympic Park venues and Domain and Perth Zoo plus race meetings at Caulfield, Ascot and Morphettville Racecourses.
