Phil King named new Chief Commercial Officer at the South Australian Cricket Association

Experienced sports and entertainment marketer Phil King has been named as the new Chief Commercial Officer at the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA).

King joins the state peak body after a four-years as General Manager of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium where he was responsible for notable commercial and operational successes for both venues.

His career to date has seen him work with some of the biggest sports venues in Australia having spent almost eight years in Sydney as the Director of Live Entertainment for the International Convention Centre, after having been Commercial Manager at Allphones Arena (now Qudos Bank Arena).

Prior to his work in Sydney he was Commercial Manager at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium over a seven-year.

In his role at SACA, King (pictured) will focus on growing attendances at this seasons Adelaide Strikers BBL games to pre-pandemic levels as well as increasing sponsorship acquisitions and fan engagement.

He will also oversee formulating a new data and digital strategy for the business and building on recent growth in SACA memberships, targeting new and renewing subscribers.
