read moreThe City of Sydney’s Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre has installed a visitor management and analytics system from Cohera-Tech across the complex.
The Cohera-Tech system allows the facility’s management team to monitor visitor numbers at their venues in real-time with alerts to ensure that numbers remail within COVIDSafe limits.
The Cohera-Tech system achieves this is done using a range of 12 strategically placed sensors detecting visitor movements in and out, with separate counts for adults, children and groups. These sensors work to a 98% accuracy level with data fed back to cloud-based servers, then back to dashboard reports within two seconds of the person walking under the sensor.
This real-time data is sent directly to the management team leaders responsible for the reporting venue via dashboard screens and their smartphones, including occupancy number alerts.
Reports on results are generated automatically on daily, weekly and monthly results and compared with previous days, weeks, months results which are retained within the system.
A standard range of reports for aquatic and recreation centre like Gunyama Park has been developed by Cohera-Tech and additional reporting analytics developed as apart of the installation package.
The Gunyama Park management team can now separately model a wide range of information from the number of children, adults and groups using the park, and times of visits and the venues visited.
For example, the changing usage of the different pools by children during school holidays and over the seasons could be monitored and provide the basis for staffing level planning and budgeting.
The same applies to the other venues being monitored like the fitness area, the hydrotherapy pool, the indoor and outdoor pools and the café, which all have different usage patterns and maximum occupancy restrictions.
Customer counting sensors have been installed in the following facilities:
The Cohera-Tech System does not use facial recognition and is anonymous, while being able to identify adults, children, gender, groups like families and report on them separately.
All data is collected in a secure customer portal which can be reviewed for budget purposes and later analytics and as comparative data against real-time results.
Senior Management reporting to the City Council on the results and popularity of the Gunyama Park operation is achieved with pre-set reporting templates with easy to absorb graphs, bar graphs and pie charts.
Cohera-Tech are experts in people counting systems and have installed them in over 50 Leisure Centres throughout Australia, as well as hundreds of retail stores, universities, libraries, shopping centres and city council venues.
