The Genesis Health + Fitness network is welcoming a new club this month, located in Mickleham, Victoria, under the management of new co-franchisee, Michael Knight.

According to Knight, who has been a local for eight years, the club’s location is in an area underserviced by full-service gyms.

Knight advised “It was because of my passion for fitness and health that I was very aware of the lack of services like this in the Mickleham area – so I feel very confident about the local opportunity.

“There’s a big difference between a gym and a full-service gym and the response from the local community already has shown me they agree.”

The $2 million 24/7 club is set to open late September and will feature a small group training Coaching Zone space and Reformer Pilates studio among its long list of features.

A successful entrepreneur, Knight said the decision to choose a franchise to take advantage of the local market gap and follow his passion for health was a “no-brainer” adding “the support we have had has been absolutely amazing. Without the guidance of the Genesis team, I would be wheel spinning at times.

“Genesis is an Australian prestige brand that has a great story and mission statement and it was the clear choice.”

Genesis Health + Fitness Chief Executive Ian-Jensen Muir welcomed Mickleham and the new franchisees to the network and shared “we are so happy to have Michael and the other co-franchisees on board.

Genesis Health + Fitness Mickleham will feature Reformer Pilates, Coaching Zone, yoga classes, sauna, strength and conditioning equipment, fully equipped Cardio Studio, a functional training space, personal training and unlimited 24/7 access.
