The longest serving sponsorship in Netball Australia’s history, the ASICS partnership with the sport was first established in 1997, with the brand’s netball shoes worn by netballers of all ages, from Woolworths NetSetGO through to the Suncorp Super Netball League and Origin Australian Diamonds.
Delighted to announce the partnership extension, Netball Australia interim Chief Executive, Stacey West advised “ASICS has been a fantastic partner over the past 27 years, and it is incredible to work with a brand that shares a like-minded passion and love for netball.”
ASICS Oceania Managing Director, Mark Brunton added “being one of the most beloved sports for Australian women and girls at a grassroots level, we understand the significance of our partnership with Netball Australia to support both current and future generations of netball players nationwide.
“We are immensely proud to continue supporting an organisation that positively influences countless lives across the country.”
Designed and developed in Australia, ASICS’ range of netball shoes are informed by research from the University of Melbourne, feedback from Origin Australian Diamonds players as well as recommendations from Sports Medicine Australia.
Westfield and Netball Australia extend partnership
Netball Australia has also announced Westfield is extending its multi-tier partnership to 2026.
With this sponsorship also spanning all levels of the game, Westfield General Manager Marketing and Community, Jacqui Waine noted “we’re proud to be extending our partnership with Netball Australia to further strengthen our connection between our Westfield destinations and local communities, which includes netball players, fans and their families.
“Our strategic focus is to continue to create reasons for customers to visit and spend their time in our destinations, whether that’s visiting for team celebrations and events or for lunch before or after a game.”
