read moreLeading commercial aquatic filtration systems manufacturer Neptune-Benson's Defender® Aquatic Filtration system has been certified as a Smart Approved water saving device by the Smart Approved WaterMark program.
Installed in 16 countries around the world, the Defender® is a regenerative media filter that eliminates over 90% of the backwash water associated with sand filter operation. Water, space, energy, chemical and power savings are all hallmarks of the Defender regenerative media filter.
Created in response to the challenge of reducing per-capita urban water consumption, the Smart Approved WaterMark program is Australia's water saving label for products and services helping to reduce water use.
An expert panel, supported with a grant from the Water Smart Australia program, approved the 'Smart Approved' water saving accreditation for Neptune-Benson's Defender® Aquatic Filtration system.
Welcoming the accreditation, Neptune-Benson Engineering Manager and LEED AP Traves Ogilvie stated "we are very proud to be designated as Smart Approved.
"We've spent years refining our Defender filter line to create greater value and sustainability for our customers with a strict eye on its impact on the environment."
The Defender® is a perfect fit for:
• Recreation facilities
• Waterparks
• Splashpads & spraygrounds
• Spas & wellness centres
• Hotels & resorts
• Apartments & condominiums
• Fountains & water features
