read moreCompleted late last year, the global merger of leading security and access companies Dorma and Kaba is seeing the new combined company bring together complementary product sets to offer a comprehensive line-up of access control solutions and technologies.
The merger of Swiss-based Kaba and Germany’s Dorma to create the Dorma+Kaba Group, has created one of the top three global access providers with annual sales of more than US$2.1 billion backed by more than 16,000 staff in 50 countries.
Dorma products are widely used in the leisure industry with a range including automatic and revolving doors, architectural hardware and crash bar door systems, movable wall partitions and glass wall systems.
In business for over 150 years, Kaba has developed industry-leading RFID lock technology along with high security locks, key blanks, transponder keys, and key manufacturing machines.
Now merged, a statement from the Dorma+Kaba Group explains “(our) customers and partners ... will profit from a complimentary product portfolio, geographical presence, value chain, and global service organization.
The company believes it is now in strong position in the traditionally fragmented access management and security industry.
Market consultancy IHS said the merger enables the combined company to bring together complementary product sets that will help to offset any gaps in their respective line-ups of access control solutions and technologies.
Kaba Australia has been invited to outline how the merger will impact its Australian operations.
