read moreWith the Thai Government having introduced its latest Coronavirus easing measures this week, Jetts 24 Hour Fitness has opened all of its 30 clubs across the country.
Welcoming the reopening, Jetts Fitness Asia Chief Executive, Mike Lamb told the Bangkok Post "the fitness industry will have a vital role in ensuring the ongoing health and well-being of people across the world, including Thailand, during and following the COVID-19 pandemic."
During its temporary closure, Jetts 24 Hour Fitness had invited members to visit its website and social channels for health advice and tips for home workout sessions.
Explaining this outreach, Lamb stated “the aim was to ensure that our members and followers remained fit and healthy during the lockdown. Our Facebook live classes showcasing different home workouts received an overwhelming response from our members as well as exercise enthusiasts.”
The reopening will see Jetts gyms and exercise facilities operate in a way that ensures the health and safety of members and employees.
The re-opening framework includes a range of guidelines from limited operation hours, temperature checks on arrival, high-frequency of cleaning and sanitation, special spacing of equipment and reduced capacity for classes, as well as other protective measures for employees and members, who will also have to wear face masks and bring their own workout towels.
Lamb advised “these measures will ensure gym members and employees have peace of mind as they workout or take part in group classes.”
The gym's operating hours will be from 6am until 10pm instead of 24/7 access in order to comply with the Thai Government's curfew restrictions.
