The newly unveiled Sofitel Darling Harbour has introduced ‘SoFit’, a world-class fitness centre featuring not only state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, but also one of the best views in Sydney.

Labelled as the first new-build five-star hotel that Sydney has seen this millennium, the hotel is located next door to the new International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour. It contains 590 rooms, three bars, a restaurant, 20 metre-long pool, modern gym, as well as nine flexible meeting spaces and 450-capacity Ballroom.

Fitness centre, SoFit, is located on level 4 of the 35 floor hotel, adjacent to the impressive 20 metre infinity pool, where guests can relax with a cocktail in hand or squeeze in a workout before they go about their day.

Within the centre, floor to ceiling windows allow guests to view all that Sydney has to offer as they work out on state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment from leading wellness company Technogym.

With the goal to build a hotel that was eco-compatible, when it came to choosing equipment for the gym, Technogym’s ARTIS line was chose for its sleek Italian design, interactive technology and outstanding eco-sustainability.

Claudio Bertozzi, Managing Director at Technogym Australia explains “thanks to the ARTIS range, guests working out at SoFit play their part in making the gym and the hotel more sustainable,.

“The ARTIS Cardio range has the TÜV-certified lowest-emission available on the market, whilst all of the energy required to power the ARTIS Strength interface coming directly from the kinetic energy of the user. Human energy is rerouted into the network and renewed to feed the gym.”

The $500 million Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel will play a major role in the on-going revitalisation of the vibrant Darling Harbour precinct, with over 40 new hotels scheduled to open over the next five years.
