Fitness Australia announces Industry Council appointees
Fitness Australia has announced the appointment of a new Industry Council, an advisory group to provide advice and forum for consultation on issues relating to the diverse range of businesses operating in the fitness industry.
The Industry Council will assist Fitness Australia with the development of strategies, industry policies and services so that it may best support members.
The Industry Council is comprised of professionals with a range of backgrounds and skills; a franchise trainer, outdoor fitness owner, sport and recreation facility manager, a course provider, large fitness centre director, niche health specialist, accredited mediator and even a corporate lawyer.
Introducing the Industry Council, Fitness Australia Chief Executive Bill Moore explained “it’s essential that we’re relentless in understanding the needs of the Australian fitness industry in order to best serve our members.
“The appointment of this Industry Council allows us to gain important insights that will assist the Fitness Australia Board and Management team in our ongoing planning.”
“I’m confident that the diversity of experience, knowledge and the level of credibility of the newly appointed Council members will assist in our ongoing planning, enabling us to continue to grow the reach and influence of the industry.”
The members of Fitness Australia’s Industry Council are:
• Anna Liptak, His and Her Time
• Peter Annis-Brown, ManageHealth
