Emma Barry announced as second keynote speaker for 2020 FILEX Convention
The 2020 FILEX Convention has confirmed that Emma Barry - a published author and consultant to fitness “boutiques, budgets, tech start-ups and club-in-a-club” will be delivering a keynote address on Saturday 2nd May on what is to happen next in fitness - with an in-depth look into what will shape the future of the industry including global trends and tech.
Announcing Barry as the event’s second keynote speaker, a FILEX Convention spokesperson advised “Emma Barry is fluent in what happens next in fitness.
“She’s always been on the cutting edge of fitness herself, and now we’re lucky enough to have her share what’s in her crystal-ball with us.
“Emma’s a founding member of Les Mills International, former Director of Programming for Equinox, and consultant to the fastest growing value-based chain in Europe, Basic-Fit. She has inhaled senior roles in group fitness programming, product development, global training and people and culture.”
The New Zealand-born, Los Angeles-based sought-after speaker will be presenting four other business and leadership focussed sessions including a presentation at the FILEX Business Summit on Thursday 30th April 2020.
From Building a Fierce People Culture to 8 Entrepreneurial Hustles, she will cover key ground for those wanting to be in the know when it comes to the latest and greatest tips and news on the industry.
And in a first for FILEX, Barry will also be hosting the FILEX webinar in January where she will be uncovering industry insights and offering a taster of what delegates can expect at her industry leading Convention sessions.
FILEX 2020 is set to be the freshest one yet, with the announcement of three keynote speakers for the first time in the Convention’s history and, new to FILEX in 2020, the FILEX Big Workout. Organisers say the Saturday morning event will be an adrenalin pumping, endorphin releasing, massive smile creator rolled into an hour of power before the second day of the Convention commences. Delegates can expect to join FILEX’s best coaches and trainers using the latest and greatest functioning training equipment and tools so they can experience new ways of training and coaching their crew.
The three-day event, powered by Fitness Australia, offers 12 CECs and runs from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May and is co-located with the Fitness Show B2B.
The event is preceded by pre-convention summits on Thursday 30th April with delegates having the option to choose from either the Business Summit or The Ultimate Trainer Summit.
Early bird registrations are selling fast and, with less than 100 to sell delegates, are making the most of the payment plan option available.
To take part in the complimentary webinar delegates are directed to simply subscribe to the FILEX newsletter at www.filex.com.au with key webinar details to be emailed out in the coming weeks.
