EEAA to explore workplace equality in celebration of International Women’s Day 2020
February 27, 2020

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has secured a strong line-up of inspiring speakers for the 2020 EEAA International Women’s Day Breakfast to be held on the 5th March.

Led by EEAA Chief Executive Claudia Sagripanti, the panel will explore the #EachforEqual global theme with a focus on ageism, bias against the young and the old and employability of people of all ages.

Daz Chandler - interdisciplinary storyteller; Natalie Yan-Chatonsky – Founder of Full Time Lives; Erica Blythe – Director of Finance and Administration, ICC Sydney and Christine Kotsis – Senior Business Development Manager, Harry the Hirer will take to the stage to share their stories at Doltone House on Thursday, 5th March.

EEAA President, Spiro Anemogiannis is proud that the EEAA created this event initially in 2014 and has committed to putting the spotlight on the important role women play in the events sector adding “the Association has demonstrated future-focussed leadership in helping to create a culture in our industry that fosters equal opportunity and recognises outstanding talent.”

Sagripanti will facilitate the panel discussion in her first official hosting role as the EEAA’s new leader and advised “I am truly delighted to have joined the Association and to be able to lead this discussion around equality in the workplace and the importance of breaking down unconscious bias to implement change.

“We have engaged an inspiring keynote speaker - Daz Chandler along with an inspirational line-up of role models and I am very much looking forward to sharing their stories.

“We will again continue our focus on Corporate Social Responsibility with the support of two important charities, Fitted For Work and UN Women Australia and we invite all attendees to make a contribution towards improving the lives of women in our community.”

In support of the Fitted for Work organisation, the EEAA is asking guests who attend the breakfast to donate good quality corporate clothing, shoes and accessories to help disadvantaged women return to the workforce.

The EEAA encourages registrations from both Members and non-members, offering attendees the opportunity to come together to celebrate this important event and support this global initiative toward equality.

"International Women's Day is celebrated each year on 8th March

International Women's Day 2020 campaign theme is #EachforEqual

An equal world is an enabled world.

Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day.

We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.

Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.

Let's all be #EachforEqual."  (Source:
