Clublinks reopens Moore Park Golf course following installation of Trackman Range technology

Clublinks reopens Moore Park Golf course following installation of Trackman Range technology
July 5, 2024

Managed and operated by Clublinks, Moore Park Golf course has been upgraded with Trackman Range technology and a new booking system - offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy precise shot analysis, real-time feedback, play virtual golf courses, and play fun interactive games.

Clublinks continues to reimagine how driving ranges in Australia can evolve into fully encompassing golf and entertainment experiences.

Moore Park Golf driving range officially closed mid-June 2024 to install the highly anticipated Trackman Range technology and a booking system. On 2nd July it was a proud moment for the Moore Park Golf and Clublinks team to finally open back up to the public after celebrating with a private stakeholder event the night before showcasing the hard work of the team and renovated driving range.

The upgrades were undertaken by Clublinks with the goal to create a driving range that is a leading golf entertainment experience and is inclusive for golfers and non golfers of all abilities.

Trackman Range provides an expansive range of ways to enjoy golf – from using the technology to hone skills and drill down on inch perfect data outputs to enjoying the multiple options of interactive games with a group of friends in a bay. Either option provides a great introduction to the golfing experience.

Additionally, the introduction of a much-needed booking system for the busy driving range was crucial to both improve customer experience and reduce extensive wait times for bays. This new system allows Clublinks to better understand range customers habits and preferences so they can continue to refine and improve the customer experience.

The evening launch brought together the national Clublinks team with notable visits from team members across Melbourne head office, QLD’s Minnippi Golf & Range, WA’s Links Kennedy Bay Golf Course, UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre and previous Moore Park Golf employees who had been privy to the driving range project.

Golf Australia's Head of Venue Development Tony Craswell attended the evening launch of Moore Park’s latest addition, and was excited to see so many attendees experience the Trackman technology for the first time.

Craswell shared "It was great to see so many fully engaged in the tech on the range. There were plenty of new golfers who were discovering Trackman for the first time. It’s something that us rusted golfers know about, but the genuine excitement and engaging banter in bays is what makes technology-based driving ranges our greatest entry into the game.

"It just makes it fun."

Leaders of this project include Stephen Peverett, NSW State Manager; Susan Lahood, Moore Park Precinct Manager; and Mat Barnes, Moore Park Golf Venue Operations Manager.
