Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre named top council facility at 2019 Australian Fitness Awards
Perth’s Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre has been acknowledged as the Council/Licensed Fitness Centre of the Year at the 2019 Australian Fitness Awards, presented by Fitness Australia prior to the FILEX Convention in Sydney last week.
Explaining that the Australian Fitness Awards provide a fantastic opportunity for businesses and individuals to be acknowledged for their contribution to the industry and the impact they have in their communities Fitness Australia Chief Executive, Barrie Elvish advised “Belmont Oasis is a perfect example of how physical activity can connect a community of people.
“They’ve illustrated the importance of all Australians being given equal opportunities.
“The facility they provide and the work that they do is bettering people’s lives, and this national award now positions Belmont Oasis as an industry benchmark - their community and members should feel proud to have such a facility available.”

Welcoming the award, Rohan Gunton, Western Australian State Manager for Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre facility manager Belgravia Leisure stated “what makes our centre stand out is really the community culture that we have been able to develop here.”
“It’s a relationship between not only the staff being able to provide great service and push the boundary to deeply understand our customer needs, but also testament to how we engage with each other to create a real team environment that allows us to flourish”.
