read moreThe upcoming Australian International Aqua Fitness Convention 2020 has announced that industry body Recreation SA are backing the event as an ‘Official Supporter’.
The partnership will see Recreation SA members receive a special discount for their facility staff to attend the first event of its type in Australia, which aims to cover key issues in the growth of the aquatic fitness market - an increasingly popular activity among many demographics across Australia.
Set to be held in Adelaide from 14th to 16th February next year, the AIAFC 2020 Convention will feature aquatic fitness leaders from around the world and Australia, presenting a diverse range of classes and styles which will broaden and benefit knowledge for Australian aqua fitness instructors knowledge and experience.
Introducing the Convention, Donna Stocker, Acquapole® Australasia Master Trainer and AIAFC Event Co-ordinator, explained “aquatic facilities will benefit enormously by upskilling their staff with the latest and best aqua ftness style in the world.
“We hope that this, in turn, helps aquatic facilities to increase attendance to their classes improving the health and wellbeing of their local communities through working out in the water.
“AIAFC will be hosting presenters and delegates from Italy, Poland, USA, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland and are excited, in conjunction with Recreation SA, to showcase not only our beautiful state but our amazing facilities, instructors and staff who have a passion to learn and share with each other.”
As a not for profit member-based organisation Recreation SA works hard to support and advocate for the recreation industry with government, industry, members and other key stakeholders on common issues.
Recreation SA works hard to promote and increase the participation and profile of active recreation in South Australia, values that align perfectly with the Convention.
Explaining the value of this support, Kym A’Court, Manager of the Parafield Gardens Swim School, added “it’s important that the South Australian Aquatic Industry get together to support each other, the industry and especially Recreation SA who work so hard on our behalf to advocate such important issues as the health and well being of South Australians, not only in the water but in all areas of recreation.”
The AIAFC 2020 Convention is organised by Acquapole® Australasia in conjunction with the Parafield Gardens Swim School and Waterworld Aquatic Centre.
