read moreLooking to deter scaling of tickets for next year’s Oasis Live ’25 tour, the Victorian Government has assigned major event status to the band’s Marvel Stadium concerts.
Enacting legislation it used wheh Taylor Swift's 2025 concerts went on sale last year, Oasis tickets will be protected under the state’s anti-scalping laws.
In a release, the Victorian Government advised “tickets to a declared major event can’t be advertised or resold for more than 10% above their original value. Ticket package sellers are also required to be authorised by the event organiser, and individual ticket sellers must also include ticket and seating details.”
With Oasis having not performed in Australia in almost two decades, demand for tickets is expected to match Swift’s The Eras Tour.
Commenting on the move, Victoria Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, Steve Dimopoulos stated “the Oasis reunion tour will be one of the biggest concerts to come to our shores in 2025 and we’ve declared their Melbourne concerts as major events to make sure fans can see the Gallagher brothers live at a fair price.”
Michael Coppel, Chairman of Live Nation Australasia, said Oasis Live ‘25 has been one of the most highly anticipated tours this decade, noting “fans have an insatiable appetite to see the UK legends live and by declaring this event, Live Nation are committed to making sure fans aren’t preyed on by scalpers.”
Oasis will perform at Marvel Stadium on 31st October and 1st November 2025
Presale tickets went live today with the general public sale to open tomorrow.
