read moreFollowing recent participation in multiple industry events including the National Sports Convention, ACPE Business of Sport Summit, Sports Tech World Series, Parks and Leisure Australia and Recreation Aotearoa Conferences, fast growing, multi award-winning data technology company ActiveXchange is calling on the entire sector to seize the opportunity to fast track a truly informed and connected network.
Speaking after participating in these events over recent months, ActiveXchange Chief Executive, James Ellender explained “listening in to our sport, leisure and government leaders the message is clear - our entire sector needs a collective voice with shared analytics, benchmarks and figures that allow us all to talk with confidence and evidence, to better position our sector and bounce back together.
“Underpinned by recent Federal Government backing, our SportsEye network is even more relevant today as we all look to close out one seriously challenging 2020 and prepare for the rising financial pressures looming in 2021.”
Ellender feels that now is the time to unlock traditional data silos to create a new way forward and be ready for the targeted, resourceful and collaborative effort required in 2021.
As featured in ActiveXchange’s recent SportsEye Accelerator Grant showcase video, Football NSW and Northern NSW Football, along with YMCA South Australia are two progressive organisations dipping their toe in data science and seeing value.
Case Study: YMCA South Australia
Andrew Mundy, Chief Operating of the YMCA South Australia, states “we have been working with ActiveXchange to translate our basic data into actual business intelligence to improve operations and marketing. Such data science has never been accessible to us previously and now we get our interactive maps, graphs and dashboards.
“We have done this because we are committed to designing services that reflect the impact on our local communities”.
“What has transformed our approach is the ability to aggregate member activity to understand social value. Moving the conversation from the financials of a facility to one more of community impact - after all, community impact is why these facilities were funded in the first place."
Case Study: Football NSW and Northern NSW
Daniel Rustic, Manager Government Relations Funding and Infrastructure, Football NSW, notes “Football NSW and Northern NSW Football have partnered with ActiveXchange and Inside Edge to combine our state-wide facility audit and participation data into one easy to use platform which has transformed our NSW Football Infrastructure Strategy.
“This has allowed us to digitise our strategy and provide a responsive mapping tool to help visualise and tell our football story.”
“As a result, we are now in a position to influence all levels of government more effectively and connect across data plans to help Football regions achieve their own objectives.”
Thanks to the Federal Government backing, ActiveXchange is currently working with its partners to fast track a v2.0 of the platform and bridge the gap between a truly connected network of operators, sports, government, consultants and member management systems.
Ellender added “every organisation in our sector, no matter their size or experience with data, can make this step change and realise the potential for us to better plan, operate and govern together with up-to-date market insight powering evidence-based plans.
“Now is the time to connect into the Network and unlock the power of your data. Our data science team are ready to support your organisation every step of the way.”
