read moreWorld Gym Australia has announced the promotion of Amanda Fraser to Chief Operating Officer of World Gym Australia and Proarc International, World Gym’s master franchise in Australia.
Fraser, who joined World Gym in 2008 at World Gym Penrith, Proarc’s first Australian World Gym location, has played an integral part of growing World Gym Australia.
First elevated as National Franchise Manager, as Chief Operating Officer she will now be responsible for all operations at World Gyms in Australia managed by Proarc International and supporting operations at all franchised locations.
Commenting on the appointment, World Gym Australia Director, Jonathan Davie stated “Amanda has been an invaluable part of our team for a long time.
“She has worked tirelessly to grow the World Gym Australia network, collaborating with franchisees, suppliers and members to strengthen World Gym as a brand in Australia.”
Co-Director, Mike Nysten added “Amanda will be able to take her enthusiasm, strategic thinking and commitment to excellence into greater parts of our businesses, strengthening our position and driving our growth into the next decade.”
Looking forward to her new role, Fraser noted “for over a decade, World Gym has helped me pursue my passion for health and fitness.
“Jon and Mike have been great mentors to me as we’ve grown the company in such a thoughtful way.
“In my new role, I’ll be able to help even more people transform their lives through the power of fitness. World Gym helps members get healthier and stronger and helps entrepreneurs transform their passion for fitness into a profitable business.”
News of Fraser’s appointment follows a year of record growth for World Gym Australia, adding over 10,000 new members in 2020. This record growth is particularly impressive considering 2020 was a challenging year when gyms were closed for months at a time due to the global pandemic.
World Gym Australia’s success is due to its best-in-class training facilities with all of the latest equipment, strict cleanliness and safety protocols and the introduction of a new online training platform, World Gym Online. World Gym Online has over 100 live and on-demand workouts from the best World Gym coaches and instructors all across Australia and around the globe. World Gym members can train anywhere and anytime with all the workouts they love, like HIIT, Cardio, Strength, Mind Body, and Core.
Due to the success of the WG Online platform here in Australia, World Gym Global’s solution for online training 'World Gym Anywhere' is now rolling out around the globe.
World Gym Australia will continue to expand with new gyms coming in 2021 in Coffs Harbour, NSW; Mandurah, Western Australia; Brisbane; the Sunshine Coast and the Greater Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle areas.
