Wildlife Tourism as a force for biodiversity conservation and local economies
With wildlife and wild landscapes among two of Australia’s major tourism drawcards, next week’s Wildlife Tourism Australia conference, will follow the theme ‘Wildlife Tourism: A Force for Biodiversity Conservation and Local Economies?’
Being held in Geelong from 29th September to 2nd October 2015, the third Wildlife Tourism Conference will include a range of presentations, roundtable discussions and workshops.
With relevance for parks, environment, wildlife and nature-based tourism sector delegates will hear topics from and relating to the USA, African villages, New Zealand and Indonesian national parks to using Aboriginal culture to connect children with nature, from public education in zoos to diving with sharks and involving tourists in science.
Wildlife Tourism Australia (WTA) is a not for profit incorporated association representing tourist operations, educators, researchers, students, businesses, NGOs and individuals that support sustainable wildlife tourism in Australia.
