read moreTechnogym is once again running its social campaign to reduce obesity and sedentary lifestyles offering participating facilities to activate their members.
The fifth edition of the campaign will run from 12th to 31st March with the social goal of promoting wellness and a healthy lifestyle.
It will again see gym members in fitness clubs, guests in hotels and patients in medical centres all over the world, joining forces to donate their movement and promote wellness and healthy lifestyles in their local community and beyond.
The more active the club members are, the bigger the donation will be to the communities.
The event will see participant’s 'MOVEs' – Technogym’s unit for measuring movement – logged through Technogym’s mywellness cloud, the industry’s first cloud-based open platform.
The new 2018 edition of the campaign allows operators to win and donate a piece of Technogym equipment to an association of their choice, thanks to the rewarding system which enables every facility to win by reaching predefined targets of movement performed.
Alongside the social opportunity, ‘Let’s Move for a Better World’ is also a very efficient tool for clubs to increase business. The campaign has namely proven to attract new members, thanks to both the communication campaign via web and social media, and the viral effect created by existing members sharing their training sessions online.
Let’s Move for a Better World is a unique and powerful tool to build member loyalty, motivation and footfall. By placing the spotlight on the club’s local community, it creates a positive team spirit that brings people together towards a common objective.
The 2017 edition saw great improvements for participating facilities; based on a survey conducted on participant operators, visits increased by an average 23%, new memberships increased by 13%, and the engagement and motivation of existing members increased by over three quarters.
The ‘Let’s Move for a Better World’ campaign embodies Technogym’s mission to improve wellness on a global scale. Technogym recognises that the education of the younger generation is a crucial starting point for achieving this goal, and building a more sustainable society based on personal health.
Technogym has grand ambitions for ‘Let’s Move for a Better World’ 2018, following the success of the 2017 edition, which boasted impressive figures and quadrupled 2014 results; 782 clubs, 142,000 participants in 26 countries completed more than 482 million MOVEs, burning a total of 201 million calories and losing a staggering 28,800 kg.
