Companies interested in supplying goods and services to Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park can now register their interest on the project website.

Three prequalified tenderers were invited by the Home Affairs Bureau on 29th December 2017 to make tender submissions for the contract for the design, construction and operation of the Kai Tak Sports Park.

Suppliers interested in working with the bidders have now been asked to step forward.

Explaining the process, KPMG Program Director Alastair Graham advised "to assist companies interested in working with tenderers, in the coming weeks, the Home Affairs Bureau has launched a page on the Kai Tak Sports Park website on which providers of relevant products and services can register on a voluntary basis.

“Information will be provided to all three tenderers.”

The Hong Kong Home Affairs Bureau invited applicants interested in tendering for the contract for the design, construction and operation of the Kai Tak Sports Park to participate in the pre-qualification exercise between April and July 2017, and received a total of six applications.

After assessment, three pre-qualified tenderers have been invited to submit tenders for the second stage of the tendering exercise. The tender closing date is 29th June 2018.

The three consortia include an Alibaba Group subsidiary, New World Development and Dragages Hong Kong, a subsidiary of France’s Bouygues Construction.

The Kai Tak Sports Park will be located on the former site of the Kai Tak airport in South East Kowloon.
