After nearly nine months of legal wrangling, the legal dispute between different entities operating under respective Swimming Pool and Spa Association/Alliance (SPASA) brands has been resolved, with all parties reaching an agreement.

Under the agreement, the Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia (SPASA Australia) and the Swimming Pool & Spa Alliance (SPASA) will continue to operate under those names.

SPASA Australia comprises SPASA Queensland, SPASA South Australia, SPASA Victoria and SPASA Western Australia. SPASA NSW operates as the Swimming Pool & Spa Alliance.

The Federal Court proceedings were initiated against SPASA NSW in December 2012 by the four state SPASA associations that now form SPASA Australia.
