Program and speakers confirmed for the AUSactive Senior Management Summit
October 18, 2022

Counting down to the presentation of AUSactive’s National Awards on Friday evening, the full program of speakers has been revealed for the inaugural AUSactive Senior Management Summit.

Being held during the day on Friday 21st October - preceding the National Awards Gala in the evening - the full day Summit will present tailored content carefully crafted exclusively for anyone in the health and exercise industry who is passionate about what they do and is looking to accelerate their learning and knowledge for the future.

As AUSactive Chief Executive, Barrie Elvish explains “it’s an exciting opportunity for business owners, corporate staff, key operating personnel and marketing professionals in the sector to come together, featuring keynote speakers, expert panels and international addresses.”

Presenters at the Summit include:

Huw Edwards
As Chief Executive of ukactive, the not-for-profit health body with a mission to get More People, More Active, More Often, Edwards was promoted to the role in July 2019 following three years as Director of the Public Affairs, Communications and Research Department.

During his ukactive career, he has played a key role in shaping ukactive’s strategy and business plan as well as leading the organisation’s engagement with government and wider stakeholders.

Edwards' presentation will see him share his insights on ukactive’s journey of integration with the UK Health Department

Ginni Mansberg
Mansberg is an authority on everything from sleep to beating stress, wellness, work-life balance and a range of general health and medical topics, always packaged with a dose of reality, practical and helpful tips and delivered with her customary sense of humour. A mum to a blended family of six kids, she well and truly ‘gets’ the need for work- life balance.

Aside from her practice in Sydney’s south, Mansberg is an accomplished writer with five books under her belt, and a sixth due for release in early 2023. She has worked extensively as a medical journalist and columnist including as the resident GP on Channel 7’s Sunrise, Embarrassing Bodies and as an expert on SBS’s Medicine or Myth. Refreshingly real and honest, she is the perfect mix of knowledgeable and engaging for any audience.

She will explain the role GPs play in prescribing exercise to their patients.

Paul Reardon
