New Zealand to have high profile at AIME 2018

New Zealand to have high profile at AIME 2018
February 15, 2018

New Zealand will be front and centre of the floor and hosting activities at next week’s 25th Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) in Melbourne.

Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Australia Manager, Sharon Auld says the 100% Pure New Zealand stand will be the focal point for networking and New Zealand’s signature manaakitanga (warm hospitality).

Auld explained “throughout AIME we will be sharing big news from all our partners and destinations, from Northland to Queenstown. Our infrastructure developments set for completion by 2020 include two new convention centres – the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) in Auckland and the Christchurch Centre, and new hotels including New Zealand’s largest – the Cordis Auckland.”

Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) is hosting the exclusive hosted buyer breakfast at 8am on Wednesday 21st February. On stand that day TNZ will be launching their latest comprehensive, 30-page guide - The Art of Excelling at Association Events.

Auld added “the guide is packed full of research, as well as advice from thought leaders to help association professionals ensure they are creating events that engage, educate and provide networking opportunities for members.”

Delegates are all welcome to the Cloudy Bay Networking Event on Tuesday 20th February 4.45pm to 6.00pm on the 100% Pure New Zealand stand.

The new stand features innovative design, including digital versions of New Zealand’s distinctive pou whenua (land posts) that will bring New Zealand regions alive for AIME visitors.

Auld adds “pPou whenua are the carved wooden posts used by Māori to mark places of significance, and each of our partners’ pou displays are set to capture the stories of the people and the land of Aotearoa New Zealand at AIME.”

Hosted buyers will be invited to apply for CINZ MEETINGS 2018, on in Auckland this May. The new 2018 CINZ New Zealand Event Planners’ Guide will be hot off the press on the 100% Pure New Zealand stand too.
