read moreThe Northern Territory government in support of the territory’s tourism industry, has launched a new national campaign – ‘Events that bring the different’ - promoting the NT as a destination for unique and extraordinary events.
‘Events that bring the different’ is designed to inspire Australians to visit, experience and participate in Territory events, boosting visitor numbers and building a stronger tourism industry.
The campaign will use seven uniquely Territorian events as a hook to further promote the entire NT events calendar to interstate audiences.
The seven events being highlighted include:
Designed to drive interstate visitors to the Territory and encourage them to stay and explore more of the Territory’s regions, the campaign includes planning tools and travel packages and is in market nation-wide until 30th June 2023.
NT Minister for Tourism and Hospitality Nicole Manison notes “Australia’s most unique and unforgettable festivals and events are right here in the Northern Territory, whether it’s experiencing our authentic Aboriginal art and culture, or attending our music and film festivals, the NT has so much to offer our visitors.
“This campaign is designed to highlight the breadth of unique events the Territory has to offer and motivate Australians to book a trip to the Territory to experience our distinctive, world class offerings.
“A calendar of iconic events creates a thriving tourism industry, boosting our economy and local jobs.”
Event organisers in the NT are encouraged to list and update their events on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) to ensure they are included on Tourism NT’s events portal northernterritory.com/events.
