Setting the scene for its other industry events over the coming months, last week’s FILEX Leadership Summit brought together a select group of senior industry executives to collaborate, debate and consider fitness in the post-COVID era.

Facilitated by former Facebook Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive, Stephen Scheeler, this second of the Leadership Summit saw the technology executive present on the theme of 'remaking your leadership for the 21st century' before elaborating on the role of business leaders in the current and future business world.

Other presentations were made by Paul Angell, Director of Strategic Accounts, Mindbody who shared the software company’s data on the state of the fitness and wellness industry; Andrew Curry, Director of Ikigai Imports/Shift and AUSactive Chief Executive, Barrie Elvish who explained the rebranding of the former Fitness Australia and its move to have physical activity better recognised by government.

The Summit also featured interviews with Mike Beeney, Myzone Asia Pacific Director and Craig Cowdrey co-founder and Chief Executive at mental health service Sonder.

The invitation only two-day was held at Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel, 176 Cumberland Street, Sydney the Summit was supported was supported by AUSactive, Ikigai Imports, Mindbody and Myzone.
