Inowize launches new QBIX six-player unattended interactive attraction

Inowize launches new QBIX six-player unattended interactive attraction
October 10, 2022

Inowize, a European company developing creative technology for visitor attractions using augmented reality, virtual reality, multi-touch surfaces and 3D projection mapping, has launched QBIX - a new multi-player attraction that requires neither an attendant nor an operator.

This new product is suitable for venues with a small footprint, as it measures just 16 square metres, and offers fun games lasting five to eight minutes long.

With three interactive screens and a controller for each player, the QBIX portal features a motion floor alongside special effects such as wind blasts. Players don’t need any extra accessories, so there is no fiddling with straps, wires or headsets.

When guests step into the QBIX portal, they are able to enter another world, where they can enjoy quality 3D games as a group. It offers guests a memorable experience with state-of-the-art technology, such as AR, interactive screens, and haptics.

Up to six players can take part at a time, or individuals can also play by themselves as well. The games are varied, for a repeatable experience that appeals to a wide range of visitors.

The QBIX portal is intuitive and features an easy-to-use self-service kiosk, so that players can start the fun right away with just a card swipe.

Claudia Mihalache, Chief Executive at Inowize explains “after creating Virtual Reality Experiences for over a decade and seeing how Arkadia 6-Player VR Arena impacted the FEC segment in the last five years, we decided to expand our product range.

“Our products and projects have always used cutting-edge technology, so we’ve explored many ways to immerse guests in experiences and games. However, our mission at Inowize is to create attractions that lift the spirits, get pulses racing and create a one-of-a-kind memory for the players.

“When developing QBIX – The Interactive Portal of Fun we applied all we knew from working with Virtual Reality and actively considered the needs of the operators in the field.

“That’s how we came up with an attraction that is attendant-free, multi-player, interactive, and overall fun to play.”

“We focused a lot on the game experience when developing QBIX. We wanted to have the same immersion level players have with VR – that’s why the games are 3D and use high-quality graphics.”

“We didn’t want operators to worry about breakable items or staff requirements while maintaining our focus on creating an interactive and intuitive group experience for each player.”

Stefan Murariu, Business Development Manager at Inowize added “this product is extremely exciting for Entertainment Venues. There’s a lot of value in an Unattended 6-Player Attraction, especially with such an efficient footprint. Our forecasting shows that with the estimated gross revenue per year, operators can get ROI in as fast as six months!”

The first eight QBIX Units will be installed by the end of October in an Entertainment Venue (not disclosed), proving that the market is ready for such attendant-free experiences.

Inowize will officially demonstrate QBIX at IAAPA Expo Orlando, Booth #3473 taking place on the 15th -18th of November.
