read moreThe International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) is to stage a Forum during the upcoming National Sports and Physical Activity Convention (NSC23) that will explore and promote best practice and global case studies in the design of aquatic, recreation and sport facilities.
Bring together leading architects, industry experts and key stakeholders to share insights, exchange ideas and inspire innovative approaches to facility design, the IAKS Australia and New Zealand Architects Forum is being held at 3pm on Thursday 27th July 2023 in the NSC Exhibitor Hall at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Introducing the event, IAKS Australia and New Zealand (IAKS ANZ) Ambassador, Yvette Audet explains “the Forum promises to be a highly engaging and informative gathering, providing a unique platform for architects and designers to showcase their expertise and contribute to the advancement of the sports and leisure industry.”
The Forum will feature a diverse range of topics, including cutting-edge design trends, sustainable practices, user experience, accessibility, and the integration of technology in facility planning. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive panel discussions and thought-provoking panel questions led by industry leaders who have successfully delivered exceptional sports and leisure projects across the globe.
IAKS Australia and New Zealand Architects Forum highlights
Inspiring Keynote Speakers: Internationally acclaimed architects and designers will deliver captivating keynote speeches, sharing their experiences and insights into the latest trends and innovations in sport and leisure facility design. Their valuable expertise will shape the discussions and ignite inspiration among the participants.
Variety of Sport and Community Design: Wide range of speakers on the panel from an athletes and architects perspective, Ranging from big stadium design through to sports halls, aquatic leisure centres and activating communities.
Global Case Studies: Speakers will provide insights from Europe, Canada, New Zealand, Asia Pacific as well as national facilities. Showcasing successful and transformative designs that have had a significant impact on the communities they serve. These case studies will provide attendees with valuable lessons and ideas for enhancing their own projects.
Interactive: The forum will offer a panel of set questions as well as an opportunity for the audience to ask questions about new design techniques and to exchange knowledge.
Exhibition Area: The session is held in the exhibition space where the latest products, technologies, and services in the sports and leisure facility industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with exhibitors, explore innovative solutions, and discover new possibilities for their projects.
